The DSE857 USB to RS485 communication device is a compact interface module designed to convert a compatible DSE controller's USB port into an RS485 communication port. This enables long distance MODBUS RTU communication and seamless integration with external systems such as PLCs and Building Management Systems (BMS).

By providing and RS485 output, the DSE857 allows remote communication of up to 1.2km, making it ideal for industrial and commercial installations where the controller is located far from monitoring or control equipment. The module supports MODBUS RTU protocol, allowing integration into supervisory control system or connection to a PC running DSE configuration suite software.

Configuration is completed easily using the DSE configuration suite PC software, enabling remote monitoring and control of supported DSE controllers. LED status indicators on the device provide clear visual feedback for operation and fault diagnosis.

Designed for panel installation, the DSE857 mounts securely onto a standard DIN rail and operates across a wide DC voltage range of 8-35V. Its rugged construction and industrial operating temperature range make it suitable demanding generator applications.
